How do I get my COVID-19 Test Results?

Patients who have been tested at the Barrie COVID-19 Assessment Centre at 490 Huronia Road or the Prince William walk-in clinic location will have been provided a handout on how to obtain your results.   Patients from both locations will receive a call from their centre's reporting team as soon as results are available, whether they are positive.  We appreciate your patience, as results can take up to 7 days for us to receive depending on processing times at the labs. Please do not call unless you have been waiting longer than 7 days so we can dedicate our time to following up on results that we have received.

If you received the testing and you have not received the results  after 7 days you will need to follow up with the healthcare provider or clinic location who ordered the test.  The records for the results are not shared among different locations.

Patients can also check the public results website for results, however, please know that currently not all results are available on the public website and you will not have access to the public website if you still have a red and white health card.

If your result is positive for COVID-19, please call in to the health unit 705-721-7520 (1-877-721-7520) to speak to someone on the Infectious Diseases team.
